Social Media & Marketing Intern
Role
We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Social Media intern, who would work directly with Jemima, our marketing manager to build our social media presence, develop campaigns and create thought-provoking content. The role is perfect for those who are wishing to develop their skills in digital marketing practices, social media and email marketing.
We currently have 3,000 followers on Instagram and we are looking for someone to own the growth of this channel. This role will be integral to our community-building efforts and we’d like you to share your ideas on how we should be doing this.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with managing the brand social media accounts
- Planning of content and content calendars
- Content creation and curation for the brand’s social media channels (including creating Reels and potentially Tiktok videos on a weekly basis)
- Community management on social media
- Liaising with bloggers and journalists, sending product samples, monitoring and reporting on coverage
- Researching audience preferences and discovering current trends
- Identifying customers’ needs and recommending new topics for emails and blogs
- Contribute interesting ideas for social media content by developing and executing strategies to increase social media presence.
Experience and skills
We are looking for a highly motivated, fun, creative individual who is keen to take the initiative, has ideas and will not wait to be told exactly what to do. Some previous experience in hospitality, journalism, marketing, PR or design is preferable but not essential. Ideally, you would be an active user of social media platforms. If you love cocktails, spirits and sustainability, this role is perfect for you!
This role is ideal for Marketing students and graduates or individuals with an interest/experience in hospitality or the drinks industry.
Requirements
- Can commit to 15-20 days a week for 3 months and is able to commute to our Distillery in Upton Grey, Hampshire when required.
- An enthusiasm for sustainability and craft spirits.
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office or similar, including Excel.
- Organized, efficient with good time management skills.
- Be a self-starter, able to work remotely and on their own initiative.
- Be great at multitasking and flexible in terms of assignments.
- Creative with an eye for detail.
- Reliable, flexible and trust-worthy.
Job type
Flexible, 15-20 hours a week with additional work opportunities available in other areas of the business if interested.

Production Manager
Role
This role is responsible for all production, distilling and bottling operations, technical and facilities infrastructure, compliance with all health and safety and food safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Distilling and Bottling Operations
- Overall responsibility for delivery of the company’s annual plan from a production perspective.
- Execute distilling and compounding processes as well as leading the bottling team to ensure production is completed on time, in an efficient and safe manner and in line with the production schedule, which you will largely be responsible for.
- Liaison with contract/third party production customers in conjunction with the Company Directors in the execution of contract distilling operations.
- Conduct stock-tracking exercises to ensure a minimum product level is maintained. Forecast material use and ensure minimum raw material stock levels are maintained and stored in a safe and efficient manner.
- Adhere to and maintain the SALSA Standard for Food and Beverage Production. This includes organising and conducting a yearly self-assessment in preparation for the yearly independent audit.
- Maintain and expand upon existing production records in order to ensure full legal compliance.
- Conduct Quality Control procedures to ensure the standard of product leaving the site is consistently of the highest level.
- Conduct training of new bottling team staff as well as refresher training for existing team members.
- Conduct R&D to support development of the company’s new products as well as the refinement of existing products.
Technical
- Responsibility for all production and distilling equipment/systems. All equipment must be safe, well maintained and operational. Maintenance is to be conducted in line with defined schedules and procedures.
- Conduct reactive maintenance and repairs as necessary.
Skills
- Production knowledge and understanding is required, experience is useful.
- Team leadership is essential.
- Comprehensive product knowledge.
- Good interpersonal skills, communication skills and time-management skills are essential.
- The candidate must be self-motivated, must be flexible and able to operate under pressure.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to drive a forklift and utilise typical warehousing equipment is necessary.
- Knowledge of HACCP and the SALSA standard are required.
