Experience Our Distillery…

Nestled in the beautiful Hampshire village of Upton Grey, our distillery offers guests a rare opportunity to see a range of different spirits being made. We welcome visitors to the distillery for a behind-the-scenes experience where you can discover the principles of our approach to distilling and follow our production process which makes our craft spirits so special.

Distillery Tour

We’ll start by talking about how we came to exist, the story of Gorilla Spirits and the work we do to support the Gorilla Organization and help gorilla conservation in Rwanda. We’ll then talk you through our spirits, what makes each of them so special, the botanicals we use and the distillation process.

You will then take a guided tour of our distillery, production areas and warehouse, finishing the tour with a tasting experience of our full range of spirits, as well as a large signature G&T!

Cocktail Masterclass

Once a month Gorilla Spirits Co. hosts our cocktail masterclass. Led by our award-winning mixologist Spike van de Merwe, guests will be welcomed with a large G&T and then will learn how to make a range of innovative and exciting cocktails using the Gorilla Spirits Co. range.

The class is led by you, and along with the help of Spike, we’ll work with you to either create a new, exciting cocktail, or teach you how to make your favourite classics at home!

Gin School

The Gorilla Spirits Co. presents the ultimate gin lovers experience; Gorilla Gin School. Lead by either our Chief Gorilla and founder, Andy Daniels, or the expertly trained WSET graduate, Kirsty Peet, guests will be guided through every step of the gin making process before using individual copper stills to create their own unique blend.

After an introduction to Gorilla Spirits Co. and our distilling process, students will be given techniques, tools and guidance to assist in creating their gins using our extensive library of botanicals. Once distilled, guests will enjoy a G&T made with their own gin before leaving with a full bottle for their enjoyment at home.

Distillery Information

The distillery is based in a rural location so please ensure you arrive 10 minutes early, wrap up warm if it is cold out, and wear sensible shoes (no heels, no open toe shoes etc).

Gorilla Spirits Co. is a working distillery so please ensure your clothes and footwear are suitable for the situation.

Information for Drivers

As we are based in the rural countryside we appreciate there may have to be a designated driver in your group. We take our responsibility towards your safety on the roads, and the safety of the public, very seriously, so unfortunately the driver will not be able to take part in any tasting sessions (however, we will of course provide them with an exceptional non-alcoholic cocktail to make up for it!).

There are a limited number of parking spaces available at the distillery, so please call in advance to book. We’re also happy to recommend local taxi companies so everyone in the group can enjoy the experience fully.

Gorilla Spirits Co. Distillery Shop

Our distillery shop is open Wednesday to Saturday 10.00am – 5.00pm and Sunday 11.00am – 2.00pm.

Food, Drink and Accommodation

We don’t have a restaurant or food available to purchase on site, and while some of our longer experiences do provide refreshments, you may be looking for something more substantial for before or after your visit. We can recommend some fantastical local places for you to eat, drink or stay:

For a fantastic local pub:
The Hoddington Arms, Upton Grey – 01256 862371
The Fur and Feathers, Herriard – 01256 510510
